How the App Works

Puzzle Chest Quest is a completely offline application. All game content (riddles, loot, locations) is stored locally within the app.

Local Storage:

  • Your game progress (solved chests) is saved to your device using iOS UserDefaults
  • Your sound preference setting is saved locally
  • All data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere
  • No cloud sync or backup of game data

Network Activity

Zero network requests. The app does not make any network connections, API calls, or internet requests. You can verify this by playing the game in airplane mode - it works exactly the same.

Third-Party Services

Puzzle Chest Quest does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond Apple's native iOS frameworks (SwiftUI, AVFoundation, UserDefaults).

No third-party integrations means:

  • No analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
  • No advertising networks
  • No social media SDKs
  • No crash reporting tools
  • No customer support chat services

Children's Privacy

Puzzle Chest Quest is rated for ages 4+ and contains no objectionable content. Since we don't collect any data from anyone, this includes children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Data Security

Your game progress is stored securely on your device using iOS standard storage mechanisms (UserDefaults). This data is protected by your device's security features (encryption, passcode, Face ID/Touch ID). We never have access to this data.

Deleting Your Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • To reset game progress: Use the "Reset Progress" button in the Statistics view
  • To delete all data: Delete the app from your device
  • Reinstalling the app starts fresh with no saved progress

Apple App Store

When you download Puzzle Chest Quest from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect certain information as part of the download and purchase process. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We do not have access to this information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Since our app doesn't collect data, this privacy policy is unlikely to change. However, if we ever update this policy, we will post the new Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
